April Bush Care: A fine and sunny day after all the rain. The group worked along side the fire trail attacking all kinds of weeds.
It was good to see lots of bike riders and walkers many with dogs using the reserve - lots of chatting and sharing info on what we were doing and thanks for our work. A good day finished off with a cup of tea and a chat.

April: In early April heaps of rain fell in the Sydney area.
The local creeks and streams filled and flowed in Dundundra Falls Reserve, creating spectacular sights, such as this.

The water will flow and cascaded and pour and tumble all the way to Cowan Waters, nourishing the bush on its way.
March: The blue paspalum was seeding, so we cut and bagged the seeds to prevent spread.
February: The bush care group worked alongside the fire trail and have many conversations with walkers and riders as they passed. A lot of people use the trail. Good to see it is a frequently used community asset.
January: We took a holiday from Bush Care in January.
December: Final Bush Care for 2023 and the weather was great. There was weeding along Neverfail Creek.
A secondary task of installing our long awaited seat beside Larool Trail was also done. The seat was the Crown Reserve Investment Fund (CRIF) 2023 grant. The seat will encourage visitors to stop and enjoy the view and when you sit you notice more - birds, flowers, different trees, Our thanks to NSW Crown Lands for their grant for the seat.
Then a festive morning tea with everyone bringing along something (and some of our group are great cooks).
Thanks and well done to all the great volunteers who make Dundundra flourish. They turn up each month, some traveling to get to our great reserve and all expend hard effort keeping it weed free and home to native fauna and flora and a great place for the local community to roam.

November: First Sunday of the month and we were all set to get into a Bush Care day but it was too drippy. The rain was very welcome because it had been dry, so we rescheduled to the following Sunday.
The following Sunday was fine and a good turn out cleared weeds along side Aumuna Road. Satifying work and then a cup of tea and chat to finish the morning.
October: A lovely day to be in the bush with workers attacking weeds in our bush reserve. As we worked alongside the main trail it was great to have so many people pass and chat. It was doubly rewarding that so many people use and appreciate our local patch of special bush the Dundundra Falls.
March 2023 Yippee - we got notification that our grant application to Crown Lands had been successful. We had applied for funds to install a seat so walkers along the fire trail can stop and enjoy the view and watch for birds. Thank you to Crown Lands for their continued support of the reserve.
